European Champions Great Britain and African Champions Algeria were first teams to tip off in the Men’s event as they opened Pool B.

Great Britain roared into action in the opening men’s game of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, earning a 23-10 lead with 10 minutes played. Algeria continued to hustle hard in the second quarter, but it was the GB Men’s team who entered half time ahead by 43-23.

Upon the teams’ return to court, Great Britain continued to pile on the pressure at both ends of the court to move forwards by 63-29 at the end of the third quarter. The final 10 minutes of the game saw Algeria continue to battle hard, but with the momentum firmly in their favour the GB Men secured a 93-31 triumph.
