Wheelchair Basketball Canada, in conjunction with the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF), is pleased to announce the competition groups for the 2017 Men’s U23 World Wheelchair Basketball Championship (2017 U23WWBC) following the conclusion of the official draw.
In Pool A the winners of both the Asia Oceania Zone, Iran and European Champions, Turkey will compete with Brazil, Australia, Italy and hosts Canada for places in the knock-out stage. Whilst in the other group reigning U23 World Champions, Germany, will be up against Great Britain, United States, Japan, France and South Africa.
The 2017 U23WWBC will take place June 8-16, 2017 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto. Over 400 athletes, coaches, officials, delegates, and volunteers will attend the event that features 12 participating countries.
