A familiar four teams have secured their places in the women’s semi-finals of the European Championships Division A. Germany, The Netherlands, Great Britain and France all made it through to the final four.

The German women’s team finished top of the pool stages, after defeating The Netherlands, 61-55, in their last game of the preliminary rounds led by Mareike Miller with a 42-point game. The loss consigned The Netherlands to second place in the pool and a match up against Great Britain, who finished third with three wins and two losses.

Germany will meet France, who claimed the fourth spot after defeating hosts Spain, 56-50, ensuring the same four teams who have qualified for the semi-finals over the past four European Championships have done so again.

Spain will now meet Turkey, who have yet to win a game, in the classification game for 5th and 6th place.
