IWBF America Zone has announced that the Federacion Paralimpica de Costa Rica (FPCR) is set to host the Men’s 2018 Central America and Caribbean Championship in San Jose, Costa Rica from October 20-28, 2018.
The Central America and Caribbean Championship will serve to qualify two teams to the Parapan American Games to be held in Lima, Peru, in August 2019.
Federacion Paralimpica de Costa Rica (FPCR) have a good track record of hosting well-run events which include the CentroBasket BSR in 2016.
Already qualified for the Men’s 2018 Central American and Caribbean Championship are Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Guatemala, who were the top finishing team at the Para Central American Games held in Nicaragua in January 2018.
Four more spots are available for IWBF America’s member nations in the Caribbean and are offered on an open registration basis.
