Following four days of action at the Men’s European Championships Division B in Charleroi, Belgium the semi-final lineups have been set. Austria, Lithuania, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Russia all qualified for the last four at the Championships.

Austria were first to secure their place going through undefeated and top of group A. Second place in the group was tightly contested with all four other teams in the group still able to go through at the start of day four. However, it was Russia who caused the upset with two wins against Latvia and hosts Belgium on the final day of the group stages and joined Austria in the last four.

In Group B, both Bosnia & Herzegovina and Lithuania came into the final day of group matches with two wins apiece and their semi-final spot already wrapped up. In a match for placing it was Bosnia & Herzegovina who toppled Lithuania, 70 – 63, to finish top of Group B and line up a game against Russia, whilst Lithuania finished in second and will now meet Austria.

Sweden and Slovenia both finished bottom of group A and group B, respectively and will meet in a relegation play-off match, with the loser dropping down to the Men’s European Championships Division C in 2019.
