Head Coach of the Turkish Men’s National Wheelchair Basketball team, Can Aksu, has made only one change to his side, who won gold at the European Championships last year in Adeje, Tenerife, for the 2018 World Championships in Hamburg Germany.

25-year-old Kemel Kann Safak, who was part of the Turkish team that finished fourth at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, returns to the team replacing İbrahim Yavuz.

An experienced side, the team consists of eight players who won bronze at the 2014 World Championships in Incheon, including All-Star Five nominated Ozgür Gurbulak and Ismail Ar.

Turkey will face Brazil in their opening match in Pool C on Tuesday 17th August at 20.15pm followed by games against Japan and Italy.
