On the third day of the 2018 U22 Men’s European Championship, Germany and Great Britain retained their winning record, defeating Turkey and Italy, respectively.
Spain bounced back from their loss against Great Britain yesterday and opened the day with a win against Israel, 82-45. The win ensures Spain a spot in the semi-finals with two wins and a one loss record.
In the most thrilling game of the day, Germany overcame Turkey by just five points, 50-45, to finish day three top of Pool A. Whilst the other game of the day from the pool, saw France get their first win of the tournament against Poland, 57-38.
Great Britain started slowly in the last game of the day allowing Italy to keep in touch for the first part of the game, but the reigning U23 World Champions, GB, stepped up the gears in the second half to secure their second victory of the tournament, 72-28.
