Three countries Italy, Sweden and Turkey, will compete in the 2018 Women’s European Championships Division B, which takes place between the Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th September 2018 in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy.

This will be the second time that Italy has hosted the championships, the first was in July 2016 in Atri, which saw Spain crowned champions. Both Italy and Turkey participated in 2016, but the 2018 championship will be Sweden’s debut, and the first time a women’s team has represented Sweden at a major international tournament since 1991.

The teams will play each other once in a round robin to determine the final winner. At stake, promotion to the European Championships Division A in the summer of 2019, which will be the European Zone’s qualifying tournament for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

The opening game will take place at between Italy and Sweden at 18.00 on Thursday 13th September, running alongside the U22 Men’s European Championships.
