Spain, Turkey, Great Britain and Germany have secured the four spots in the semi-finals of the 2018 U22 Men’s European Championships.
Germany and Great Britain both topped their pools with wins over France and Israel, respectively. Led by Matthias Günter’s double-double of 30 point and 14 rebounds, Germany finished strongly to cruise their way through to the semi-final with a, 76-39, win over France.
There was also an assertive win for Great Britain against Israel, 69-37, as GB’s Head Coach Scott Wallace gave all his team court time in preparation for their semi-final.
Turkey claimed the final place with a 58-33 win over Poland, since Spain had already secured their place in the next phase.
FINAL STANDINGS
The first semi-final will be a re-run of the 2017 U23 Men’s World Championship final as Great Britain will face Turkey, whilst Germany will match up against Spain in the other.
