A team of 16 International Technical Officials (ITOs) from across 11 countries in the Americas Zone will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the 2018 Men’s Central Americas and Caribbean Championships.
On behalf of IWBF Americas, Maureen Orchard (CAN) will serve as Technical Delegate for the championships. Doug Garner (USA) will head up the classification for the tournament as Chief Classifier, assisted by classifiers Eduardo De Garay (MEX) and Zulmi Rivas (GUA).
Making up the game crews are referees Sebastian Gauthier (CAN), Joao Fortes (BRA), Enzo Fernández (CHI), Mauricio Gamez (CRC), Americo Martinez (ESA), Larson Coello (HON), Axel Coll (PUR).
Four other referees, Diego Bornios Tapia (MEX), Edwin Roberts (NCA), Ludger Blanchard (CAN) and Benjamin Ovando (GUA), will also be in charge of the whistle at the championships as they work towards earning their zone licence.
Rui Marques (BRA) will serve as Referee Supervisor, and alongside running a course for national referees, he will be working with the four identified referee candidates to examine and mentor them to gaining their licence. Sebastien Gauthier (CAN) will assist Rui Marques in the training and examination of the candidates.
