The pools have been decided for the 2019 Men’s European Championships Division A, which begin on 28th August in Walbrzych, Poland.

Reigning world champions Great Britain headline pool A, while current European Champions, Turkey, are the ones to beat in pool B.

Great Britain go into the Euro’s off a stunning success at the 2018 World Championships last August and will compete against by 2017 European bronze medallists Germany, as well as Italy, Switzerland, Austria and hosts Poland.

Turkey will have a tough challenge in pool B as they look to defend their European title, coming up against Paralympic silver medallists Spain, the Netherlands, Israel, France and Russia.

The Championships, which are being hosted by the Polish Basketball Federation, run until 9th September and act as Europe’s qualification tournament for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. The 12 men’s teams will bid to secure one of the four spots available in the wheelchair basketball competition at the Games.
