Pools drawn for 2019 Women’s U25 World Championship

The draw ceremony for the IWBF 2019 Women’s U25 World Championship took place on Monday 1^st April 2019 in Thailand’s capital Bangkok.

IWBF’s President, Ulf Mehrens, and President of Thailand’s National Paralympic Committee, Mr Chutinant Bhirombhakdi, presided over the draw, hosted by Thailand’s Sport Association for Wheelchair Basketball.

The pools were set out for the eight teams competing for the coveted title. Current reigning champions Great Britain will face hosts Thailand, Japan and South Africa in pool A. In pool B, 2011 gold medallists USA will meet 2015 silver medallists Australia, Germany and debutantes Turkey.

The 2019 Women’s U25 World Championship will take place between 23-28 May, in SuphanBuri, Thailand.
