Wellspect Healthcare, a leading provider of innovative products for bowel and bladder management, has become the newest Global Partner of the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation, the governing body of wheelchair basketball worldwide.
The agreement supersedes a 14-year partnership that Wellspect already had in Germany with the Deutscher Rollstuhl-Sportverband (DRS). Wellspect is now looking to develop this successful cooperation from a country level to a global scale.
The contractual rights of the agreement include Wellspect’s brand visibility on all IWBF’s marketing material and communication tools as well as a presence throughout IWBF owned events. There will also be collaborative opportunities to showcase not only the sport of wheelchair basketball and Wellspect’s products, but our joint vision for transforming lives.
IWBF President, Ulf Mehrens, said:
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Wellspect as an IWBF Global Partner. It’s a privilege to partner with such a renowned company who share the same vision and passion as us to make a difference to society, and we believe they will be a great partner in our mission of developing and growing wheelchair basketball worldwide. We are confident the partnership will be successful for both organisations and we look forward to a fruitful cooperation.”
Svenn Poulsen, Group Vice President, Healthcare, adds:
“We have a deep understanding and respect of the challenges facing anyone who needs our products. We passionately believe in reducing inequalities and offering opportunity to all our users. Knowing the commitment and passion necessary to overcome obstacles and meet new challenges, we feel confident that our partnership with the IWBF will help demonstrate our joint vision of making a real difference.”
