The final rosters of all 12 participating teams in the IWBF Men’s U23 World Championship have been confirmed before the tip-off on Wednesday 7 September in Phuket, Thailand.

IWBF’s flagship event for junior male wheelchair basketball players will tip off at 16:30 (local time) on Wednesday 7 September with a clash between the America Countries of Brazil and Canada in Group A. The opening ceremony will take place on Thursday 8 September at 13:30 followed by the host Thailand taking on Africa Zone Champions South Africa.

The Championship will culminate in the Final to be played at 15:30 on Friday 16 September

The competition will take place at the Sports Complex of the Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus in Phuket, Thailand.

The 12 teams have been drawn into two groups for the preliminary stages, Brazil, Spain, Turkey, Japan, France and Canada will compete in Group A. Whilst in Group B – USA, Germany, Israel, Australia, South Africa and Thailand will battle it out for a place in the next phase.

The top four (4) teams from each group advance to the knockout stages, of the quarter-finals, semi-finals and medal games.
