The USA put on a strong performance against Algeria in the Men’s Pool B event to go 4-0.

A dominant start by the USA saw the American team shooting at 73% to take the first quarter by 27-4. Algeria continued to put up a gritty performance at both ends of the court, but at half time the USA led by 49-10.

The third quarter saw another stunning performance in the key by America: the USA sinking shot after shot to enter the final 10 minutes 73-12. A fantastic performance by Algeria in the fourth quarter saw the team earn 12 points to the Americans 19; the USA nevertheless securing a 92-24 triumph.

The USA’s Aaron Gouge said: “Every game is just a chance to get better and this game was no different – it was a chance for us to go out and play the best we can. I mean you can always play better but we’ve played really well so far this tournament; it’s going to be fun tomorrow against Great Britain – they’re  undefeated and we are too so it’ll be a good game, I can’t wait!”
