Chinese Taipei and Iran remain undefeated in the pool stages for the men’s wheelchair basketball competition after day three of the Indonesia 2018 Asian Para Games, taking place in Jakarta.

Chinese Taipei have impressed with their performances so far in the tournament with wins against Malaysia, 60-47, and Saudi Arabia, 71-56, to go 2-0 and head up pool A. Iran lead pool B after two wins, with their first victory coming against hosts Indonesia, who were making their debut at the Asian Para Games. Iran’s experience and strength proved too much for the inexperienced Indonesian team and won the game 117-17. Iran’s second victory was a convincing win over China, 91-55.

Reigning Asian Para Games champions South Korea got their 2018 campaign off to a good start and handed Malaysia their second loss, 90-40. In the other game in pool A, Japan got their first win, 87-26, in a professional display over Saudi Arabia.

Iraq are still looking for a win in pool B after suffering defeats against China, 54-81, and Thailand, 59-81.
