This weekend will see clubs from across Europe take part in the largest inter-continental wheelchair basketball club competition.
Forty-three clubs from fifteen countries will compete across the four different European competitions, which includes the preliminary rounds for IWBF Europe’s EuroLeague 1, 2 and 3 and also the Champions League quarter-finals, on Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th March 2019.
Turkey will be the most represented with seven clubs participating over the weekend, closely followed by Italy who have six.
Following last months’ preliminary round of the Champions League, the quarter-finals are played as two groups of four teams. UnipolSai Briantea84 Cantú (ITA), BSR Amiab Albacete (ESP), and Beşiktaş JK TSBT (TUR) all head to Elxleben, Germany to compete with RSB Thuringia Bulls (GER). Bidaideak Bilbao BSR (ESP), RSV Lahn-Dill (GER), and Deco Amicacci Giulianova (ITA) will head to Madrid to compete with host CD Ilunion (ESP).

The preliminary rounds of EuroLeague 1 and 2 include 10 teams each split across two groups. Austria’s Interwetten-Coloplast Sitting Bulls and Switzerland’s Pilatus Dragons RCZS will host the EuroLeague 1 groups.

Fifteen teams will compete in EuroLeague 3 across three groups, hosted by France’s Meylan Grenoble Handibasket, Poland’s LTRSN Lódź and Greece’s Megas Alexandros ’94.
