The 2022 Asia Oceania Championships, which is the Zone’s qualification tournament for the 2022 IWBF World Championships, will take place in Phuket, Thailand between 20 – 28 May 2022.

Four women’s teams – Australia, Japan, Iran and hosts Thailand, will compete in the 2022 Asia Oceania Championship, to determine who will qualify for the 2022 World Championships.
The tournament will take the format of a double round-robin, where all teams will play each other twice to determine the final standings.
The 11 teams will compete in the men’s competition at the 2022 Asia Oceania Championships looking in a bid to qualify for the 2022 World Championships. The teams will
The preliminary stages will see the teams split across two pools (Pool A – Division 1 and Pool B – Division 2), and play a single round-robin to determine the standings of the preliminary round. The top two of Pool B will then join the six teams in Pool A to make up the quarter-final lineups. The teams ranked 3-5 in Pool B will play a second round-robin to determine 9-11 places.
Pool A (Division 1): Australia, Iran, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and Korea
Pool B (Division 2): Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Iraq and the Philippines
The games will take place across two courts at the Sports Complex PSU Phuket, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus, Kathu, Kathu District, Phuket 83120.
Spectators are welcome – admission is FREE.
