2022 Americas Cup Draw Results and Schedule confirmed

IWBF Americas held the draw for the groups for the 2022 IWBF Americas Cup earlier this month.

In the women’s division Group A is made up of Argentina, Chile, Mexico and the USA. Group B has Brazil, Bolivia, Canada and Guatemala.

In the men’s division Group A is made up of Colombia, Puerto Rico, USA and Venezuela and Group B has Argentina, Brazil, Canada and Mexico.

The tournament will commence on 13 July in hosted by the Brazilian Confederation of Wheelchair Basketball (CBBC) in Sao Paulo, Brazil at the Brazilian Paralympic Training Site. The preliminary rounds take place on the first three days with the knockout stages starting on the 16 July.

The Americas Cup will serve as the qualifier for the 2022 IWBF World Championships taking place 16 – 27 November 2022 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The top three women’s teams and the top four men’s teams will earn the right to represent IWBF Americas in Dubai.
