The 2024 Easter Wheelchair Basketball Tournament held in Blankenberge over the Easter Weekend proved to be a thrilling showcase of talent and sportsmanship. Six formidable teams, including Australia, Netherlands, Italy, France, Colombia, and Germany, competed fiercely from Friday to Sunday. Five of these teams were gearing up for the 2024 IWBF Men's Repechage event, while Australia was focused on their preparations for Paris 2024.

In an exhilarating final match, Australia emerged victorious, defeating Germany and claiming the championship title. Detailed results and further information about the tournament can be found on the Rolstoelbasketbal VZW Facebook page.

Reflecting on the successful event, Wouter Terryn, one of the organizers of the Easter Tournament, expressed his satisfaction, stating, "The tournament went really well, with high-level games and no significant problems to be solved."

Looking ahead, he added, "Once we are recuperated, we are looking forward to the 20th year anniversary in 2025."

The Easter Wheelchair Basketball Tournament continues to hold a special place in the wheelchair basketball calendar, not only for its competitive matches but also for raising funds for the development of wheelchair basketball in Belgium.
