The 2021 Champions Cup will tip off this weekend at the Rittal Arena in Wetzlar. Organised by IWBF Europe, together with German Club RSV Lahn-Dill, eight teams (4 Spanish, 3 Germany and 1 Italian) of the best teams in Europe will battle it out on the court, in the first step back for international wheelchair basketball.
The teams participating are Spain’s CD Ilunion Madrid, BSR Amiab Albacete, Club Bidaideak Bilbao BSR and BSR ACE Gran Canaria, Italy’s GSD Porto Torres and Germany’s RSB Thuringia Bulls, RSV Lahn-Dill and Baskets 96 Rahden.
The structure of the tournament is based on direct elimination: four games on Friday, followed by semi-finals on Saturday and finals on Sunday.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the event will take place in a bubble and behind closed doors. All games will be live-streamed and there are live-stats for fans to follow all the action.
