IWBF Europe has announced the participating countries for the 2024 U23 Men's European Championship, to be held in Villaviciosa de Odón, Madrid, Spain, from June 24 to 29, 2024 in the ESC La Liga & NBA.
Hosted by the Federación Española de Deportes de Personas con Discapacidad Física (FEDDF), the championship will feature seven teams competing for five zonal spots in the 2025 U23 World Championships.
The confirmed teams are:
- Spain
- Great Britain
- Germany
- Israel
- Italy
- Poland
- Türkiye
This tournament will serve as a qualification event for the 2025 Men's U23 World Championship, highlighting the talents of young wheelchair basketball players across Europe.
Update 06/06/2024 – Portugal withdrew from the Championship.
NB. The 2024 Women’s U25 European Championship, originally planned to take place the same week of the Men U23 European Championship, had to be cancelled due to a low number of participating countries
