IWBF Africa has announced the launch of their five Regional African Para Games 2023 Qualifiers as part of their revised competition strategy.


All eligible NOWBs were invited to enter teams in the regional qualification tournaments for the 2023 Africa Para Games.


South Africa will host the Southern Region Qualifiers in Johannesburg from 7-9 April. Angola and Zambia will join the host nation.


The Democratic Republic of Congo will host the Central Region Qualifiers in Kinshasa from the 21-23 of April. The hosts will compete against Cameroon and the Central African Republic.


IWBF newcomers Tanzania, will host the Eastern Region Qualifiers, with the hosts playing off against their neighbours Kenya between the 5-7 May in Dar es Salaam.


In the Northern Region, Morocco will host Algeria and Senegal in Rabat from 5-7 May 2023. Egypt's men's team does not need to participate, as they receive automatic qualification for the African Para Games as the African Champion and Africa’s 2022 World Championship participant.


African Para Games hosts Ghana, will have the opportunity to prepare to host the rest of Africa as they host Gambia in the Western Zone Tournament from 12-14 May 2023.
