“It is an exciting step for IWBF to be able announce the team of officials that will be part of our first ever 3x3 Open World Championships.
“Establishing the 3x3 Open World Championships is a milestone for the sport and we believe it will kickstart the 3x3 game in wheelchair basketball, opening opportunities at both the elite competition level as well as development level to engage new participants and audiences to the sport.
“IWBF has received great support from FIBA, especially their 3x3 department, to not only ensure that the 3x3 Open World Championships is a success but also to drive the sport forward and in future offer opportunities of working together.
“We must thank IWAS for giving us this opportunity to host the championships at their World Games and we look forward to delivering with them what we hope will be a groundbreaking event.”
