Thailand will replace the Philippines at the upcoming 2025 IWBF U23 Men’s World Championship, taking place in São Paulo, Brazil, from 12–20 June 2025.
Following the withdrawal of the Philippines, Thailand, as the next highest-ranked team from the Asia Oceania Zone qualification tournament last year, has been invited to participate and will take their place in Group B of the competition.
The 12 teams confirmed for the competition are:
· Africa: South Africa
· Americas: Canada, Brazil, United States
· Asia Oceania: Australia, Japan, Thailand
· Europe: Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Turkiye, Israel
With just under a month to go, anticipation is building for a thrilling competition that will showcase the future stars of wheelchair basketball.
