Turkey and the Netherlands Men’s Teams tipped off a big Pool A battle on Day 4 of the wheelchair basketball at the Rio 2016.
In an end to end first quarter, it was Turkey who broke away to secure a 21-15 lead. It was the Dutch who were first on the scoreboard in the second, but Turkey were quick to respond as they shot their way to a half time advantage of 37-23.
The third quarter saw another strong performance from Turkey as they overcame the Netherlands to head into the final 10 minutes of the game up by 49-31. A stunning final quarter by the Netherlands saw them outscore their opponents by 19-18, but with three highly impressive quarters behind them, it was Turkey who earned victory 67-50.
