Iran’s Mohamadhassan Sayari has been crowned the MVP for the 2022 IWBF Asia Oceania Championships men’s competition in Phuket, Thailand.
Mohamadhassan Sayari - Iran
Averaging 19.6 points, 9.8 rebounds,4.6 assists, and 2.4 steals per game, Sayari helped Iran to the gold medal game.
Hakim Mansouri - Iran
He was joined in the All-Star Five by teammate Hakim Mansouri, captain of the Iranian team chosen as the best 2.0 - 2.5 player of the tournament.
Sajjad Al-Omairi - Iraq
Also getting a place was Iraq’s Sajjad Al-Omairi. At just 21 years of age he averaged 34 minutes per game and was invaluable to the Iraq team who secured their first-ever qualification to a World Championships.
Kwanchai Pimkorn -Thailand
Thailand’s Kwanchai Pimkorn outside range got him noticed and recognised as the player chosen in 3.0-3.5 category, shooting twenty-three three pointers and making 12.5 points, 3.9 assists, and 6.3 rebounds per game.
Tristan Knowles – Australia
The veteran Tristan Knowles used his experience to help the Aussie Rollers to their 11th Asia Oceania Championship title, with a huge performance in the semi-final putting up 34 points of Australia’s 61 points against Korea, and continued his form into the final, top-scoring for his team with 21 points. With an average of 14.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists he was named as the 4.0-4.5 player of the Championship.
