Amber Merritt - Australia
Australia’s Amber Merritt was voted the 2022 IWBF Asia Oceania Championships Most Valuable Player following an outstanding tournament. Merritt finished as the highest point scorer for the tournament with 189 points, 100 points more than her nearest competitor and averaged 31.5 points per game.
Mari Amimoto - Japan
Japan’s Mari Amimoto averaged 12.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists a game for the tournament and was voted in the All-Star Five team in the 4.0-4.5 category.
Natnapa Ponin - Thailand
Named as the 3.0-3.5 player in the All-Star Five was Thailand’s top scorer Natnapa Ponin who put in an invaluable double-double performance (26 points and 15 rebounds) to secure her team their only win against Iran.
Georgia Inglis - Australia
Australia’s Georgia Inglis' playmaking impressed as she made 33 assists throughout the tournament to be chosen in the 2.0-2.5 category.
Roghayyeh Amiri - Iran
Iran’s Roghayyeh Amiri was voted in the 1.0-1.5 category and was influential in assisting her team to their first-ever World Championships qualification. The 20-year-old 1.0 player made the top 10 in scorers, assists, and steals.
