In a thrilling conclusion to the group stage games, the Azur Arena in Antibes witnessed some intense matchups that determined the upcoming qualification games for the shot at a Paris 2024 Paralympic Games spot.



Colombia showcased their resilience as they fought back from a sluggish start to claim a vital victory over Morocco, securing the third spot in Group B with a convincing 76-53 win. A pivotal 17-2 run in the closing minutes of the first half turned the tide in Colombia's favor, a lead they maintained till the end. Despite Morocco's Rida Maataoui's impressive double doubl 28 points and 15 rebounds, Colombia emerged victorious. The South Americans now face a tough challenge against the Netherlands in tomorrow's final games, while Morocco sets sights on a thrilling encounter with the formidable French team.


In a nail-biting showdown between Iran and Canada, it was Iran's Sayari who emerged as the hero with a stunning buzzer-beater to snatch victory from Canada's grasp, ending the game with a razor-thin 74-75 scoreline. It was a fierce battle between two determined teams seeking redemption after their previous losses in the competition so far. With this thrilling win, Iran sets up an enticing final clash against Italy in the upcoming qualification games.



With the home crowd rallying behind them, France delivered a team performance to secure their third consecutive victory, 48-43 over Netherlands and claim the top spot in Group A. France showcased both defensive prowess, limiting the Dutch to a mere 43 points. With their sights set on the Paris Games, France enters the qualification games with momentum and determination to secure a spot at their Home Games.



In a remarkable game to end day 3, Italy staged a monumental comeback from 18 points down to secure the top spot in Group B, defeating Germany with a final score of 72-63. Spearheaded by an outstanding performance from Giulio Papi with 35 points, alongside Carrosino's contribution of 20 points. With an undefeated record in Group A, Italy now sets their sights on a showdown against Canada in the qualification games, while Germany aims to bounce back against Iran for a chance at the Paralympic Games.


As the dust settles on an action-packed day of basketball in Antibes, the stage is set for the final qualification games where teams will battle fiercely for the opportunity to compete on the grand stage of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
